Its a family affair for Fitzpatricks

2023 champion Matt Fitzpatrick will partner his dad Russell in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship as he bids to continue his successful season.

The Englishman won the French Open last week to pick up his fourth title of the season and will hope to repeat his victory of three years ago, where he won by three strokes.

That same year, Matt also won the Team Championship with his mum, Sue, who this year is playing beside Matt’s brother, Alex.

Defending champion Bob MacIntyre is once again playing with Brett Overman. Three-time Champion Tyrrell Hatton once again partners his father, Jeff. While Tommy Fleetwood plays with American Ogden Phipps II.

Liverpool hero James Milner, who holds the all-time record for Premier League appearances with 658 total games, makes his first start at the Championship, and he will team up with pro partner Sean Crocker. Another Dunhill debutant, US actor Michael Peña – who has starred in hit films such as Crash, Ant-Man and Shooter – teams up with Australian pro Austin Bautista.

Olympic legend Steve Redgrave continues his unbroken run of playing in every Championship since 2001, and he is paired with English pro Oliver Wilson. 2003 winner Lee Westwood will tee it up alongside his amateur partner, Boyzone singer Ronan Keating, while football legend Gareth Bale makes his third appearance at the Championship alongside pro partner Marcus Armitage.
