SUNDAY, 6 OCTOBER
"It's fantastic. I really enjoy playing with Thorbjørn and they are wonderful golf courses, great sponsor, and with my sons here, what can be better."
SUNDAY, 6 OCTOBER
"Yeah, pretty proud. Listen, I played well in this event before, but to be able to putt a couple good rounds together, get all the way to the end, you know, in a position that I haven't really been in the last couple of years is quite good, of course."
SUNDAY, 6 OCTOBER
"Yeah, it feels good. This is the first time I've actually won the tournament with my dad here. So it means a lot. And yeah, to do it on the Home of Golf is really special. Hard to describe to be honest. I'm at a loss for words."
SATURDAY, 5 OCTOBER
"It was a nice day. Everything went on the right direction. Just a little mistake on 18 but it was a very nice round."
SATURDAY, 5 OCTOBER
"Played well. Certainly think I putted well. When you shoot these kind of low scores, you always seem to hole one or two that sometimes don't happen. So yeah, I think that was the most pleasing thing is how well I putted, and then yeah, just kept it in play and went from there."
SATURDAY, 5 OCTOBER
"Well, obviously super special. I think that when you play Kingsbarns and you play 16 and you see that ball down the left, that's obviously where you would like to see the flag, which is not the usual spot actually."
SATURDAY, 5 OCTOBER
"Yeah, it was a chance for a good score. Yeah, you know, when the Old Course is like this, if you hit it half-decent off the tee, you can give yourself a lot of chances."
SATURDAY, 5 OCTOBER
"I was just taking each hole as it came and just trying to make as many birdies as I could. It was nice to -- I knew when I holed that putt on 17, I had actually shot 10-under here before. I can't remember if it was 2016, the year that I won."
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"Yeah, very, I thought it was a bit windy today. And I suppose the last few years at Kingsbarns I haven't scored particularly great on. I'd still like to be a little more comfortable with my driver in the crosswinds but putted very well."
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"Yeah, there was a bit of anger on the next hole. Nice to follow up with a little birdie there, and good save on the last to keep me up near the top."
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"Yeah, 10 was like downwind off the tee. So I hit driver and got on the front of the green. 2-putt for birdie there which was great. Nice way to start."
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"Yeah, this is such a big tournament with so many big names and to put myself still within a position with the big guys is definitely a pinch me moment."
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"Frustrating. But you know, after a day like yesterday, I knew, you know, I needed to just settle down and play, start the day like it's my first round, and I did that."
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"I guess a little bit frustrated. At times I rode my luck today. Getting some good bounces to avoid some bunkers, but then yeah, I just feel like I missed so many chances at the same time. It was hard to hole putts out there to be honest"
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"Yeah, absolutely. It's just fun. Like it's you don't get it a lot back home, the odd course that plays similar but nothing quite the same. And that's kind of just the outlook of the week, just enjoy it, take it all in, walking up 18, it's always pretty special, so just remember it. "
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"3-under around Carnoustie is good any time, no matter the weather. We had a pretty good day to be fair. There wasn't much wind. I felt like I hit it pretty good tee-to-green."
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"Yeah, I mean, it's always a challenge playing this course. So obviously it's quite an occasion shooting under par even if conditions are not that hard. But it's fine; if I'm shooting under par every day during the week, it will be quite good."
FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER
"But here, it requires a little bit more of local knowledge. Having played in this definitely helps. Didn't really get off to the best of starts. I was more agitated and I didn't hit the shots that I wanted."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"Yeah, it's a nice way to start the tournament. I think that we can all agree, we got very lucky with the weather. I mean, I know the courses are never easy when it's windy but this one probably has generally played tougher in the past to. Get Carnoustie on a day as calm as this, it was lovely, and nice to shoot a decent score."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"I obviously took advantage of the fact that it wasn't that windy out here. We had a practice round Monday and it was the first time I had seen the course and I was like, wow, this place is like pretty brutal."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"Yeah, played great. Hit all 18 greens. Missed a couple of putts here and there. I can't complain. Great start to the week."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"Yeah, I have a lot of good memories on the old scores. Played a lot of St Andrews Links and obviously Walker Cup. I never really got it going around there, and today, just everything seemed to click for me. It was really good."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"Obviously the putter was really, really hot today. You know, I started today, the weather was amazing, and we were second out. I had a good warmup."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"Obviously the conditions are favorable. But yeah to go out there and shoot 8-under par any day is pleasing. Fantastic start to the week."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"That was good. That was sweet. I started with a birdie on my first hole, the 10th hole, and then I hit a really poor three-putt the next hole. I was like oh, my goodness, it's going to be a grind today, and then made like a 100-foot putt for eagle on the next hole, and then the train just kept on going."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"Well, yeah, what's not to love? You've got Scotland, the sun is out, no wind. It's pretty much the perfect day, isn't it."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"Yeah, I mean, doesn't get much better than playing the Old Course in conditions like this. Yeah, absolutely perfect today. Yeah, thankful fly made the most of it. Took me a few holes to get going but once I saw a few putts drop, I was away."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"I lean on the knowledge ever a two-time Dunhill championship Champion, Tyrrell Hatton, and I asked him and in the words of Tyrrell, just hit driver over every bunker into the rough, and lob-wedge into the green."
THURSDAY, 3 OCTOBER
"it was a perfect day to play Carnoustie. I probably didn't quite take advantage of the conditions the way that I wanted to or should have but yeah, a solid round and something to try to build upon tomorrow at Kingsbarns."
WEDNESDAY, 2 OCTOBER
"To win any tournament here at the Home of Golf is special. To sit on that bridge with the trophy is something that I've never imagined, honestly, to tell you the truth. It would be a moment that I'll remember for the rest of my life."
WEDNESDAY, 2 OCTOBER
"I think this is my tenth time playing this tournament. So had a lot of experience at the Old Course. Don't feel I need to put as much effort in because I know what's going on."
