Tyrrell Hatton

Grew up watching the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, just 30 minutes from his home in Marlow, he started playing golf aged three and was once awarde d mini green jacket for winning a children’s competition. He represented England as an amateur, reaching the semi-final of the English Amateur Championship in 2011 before turning professional that year. 2016 was his breakthrough season, after graduating from the Challenge Tour three years earlier. He sealed his maiden European Tour title – the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship – finished second at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, had two Major top tens – at The Open Championship and the US PGA Championship – and was fourth in the Race to Dubai Rankings. During his Alfred Dunhill Links Championship victory he produced a stunning third round 62 to equal the course record at St Andrews.
