John Elway

Widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks ever, he spent his entire 16-year NFL playing career with Denver Broncos.

At the time of his retirement, Elway had the most victories by a starting quarterback and was statistically the second most prolific passer in NFL history.

He won two Super Bowls, in 1998 against Green Bay and in 1999 against Atlanta Falcons, when he was named Most Valuable Player.

He also worked behind the scenes at the Broncos, eventually becoming general manager.

During his tenure the Broncos won another Super Bowl in 2016.

He plays his golf at Castle Pines in Denver.

This is his first appearance in the Alfred Dunhill Links. He has played the Old Course, but will be seeing Carnoustie and Kingsbarns for the first time.
